HalalSearch helps people find restaurants, mosques, professionals, and community events in the United States. We would rather leave a field blank than invent a claim.
We do not guess
We do not guess if a business is Muslim-owned based on a name or mosque proximity. If we don't have verified proof, we explicitly say “Unknown”.
A listing on a mosque directory is a relevance signal, not a legal ownership guarantee. NPPES and other public registries identify a practice; they are not a Muslim claim. Halal status on a restaurant card is taken from the listing or left unknown. We do not certify food.
Four pillars
- Food — restaurants and related food listings from the frozen US seed.
- Mosques — prayer spaces. Unknown ownership stays unknown.
- Professionals — doctors, lawyers, and other services we have actually published after review.
- Events — community calendar items with a date, or honestly marked recurring / TBD.
Home services sit beside professionals when we have a reviewed listing. Nothing auto-publishes.
