By using HalalSearch you agree to these terms.

The service

HalalSearch is a US directory of restaurants, mosques, professionals, home services, and community events. The restaurant/mosque catalog at /v1/places is a frozen 18,891-row seed. Other listings come from public registries (including NPPES), official Islamic-center pages, and human-published pilots. We may change, hide, or remove listings.

No Halal or ownership guarantee

HalalSearch does not certify that food is Halal, that a business is Muslim-owned, or that a professional is the right provider for you. Unknown is a valid status. We do not infer muslim_owned from a name, neighborhood, NPI taxonomy, or a mosque directory listing. A Verified Owner badge means a human accepted a claim-this-business request. It is not a Halal certificate. Identity from a public registry is not a Muslim claim.

User content

If you leave a review or claim a listing, you grant HalalSearch a non-exclusive license to store and display that text for operating the directory. Reviews are not auto-published. Do not submit spam, unlawful content, or someone else’s personal information. We may reject or remove user content.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape HalalSearch in a way that burdens the service, bypass rate limits, attempt to break into admin queues, or use the directory to harass people or businesses. Do not present our unknown Halal or ownership fields as certified facts.

Copyright and DMCA

Some listing facts were collected from public web pages and government registries. We do not copy third-party review bodies, photos, or directory prose into a sellable dump. If you believe content on HalalSearch infringes your copyright, email support@halalsearch.org with the URL, a description of the work, and your contact information. We will review takedown notices.

Disclaimers

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant completeness, uptime, or that a listed phone or website still works. A dead website is not proof a business has closed. To the fullest extent allowed by law, HalalSearch is not liable for decisions you make from a listing, including food, worship, or professional services.
